I may be a little bit late to join the bandwagon, but Elizabeth Gilbert’s book Big Magic is an incredible read. You may know this author as the lady who wrote Eat, Pray, Love and some other fiction titles. I’ve never felt so inspired to create and as someone who’s read a lot of self-help books, Big Magic is one of my favourites.Read more
If you’re anything like me, you’ve read different self-help books, watched youtube videos and listened to podcasts about having a solid morning routine. You feel so inspired to change your ways and try incorporating all the new things you liked the sound of at once. You’re excited and manage to stick to do your new routine for a few days. However, you start feeling overwhelmed and fall back into your old ways. You feel like a failure and feel disappointed in yourself.Read more
I recently took a sick day off work which is something I never do. Before ringing work, I was battling inside myself whether I was ill enough to stay off work. I find it hard to take days off as I feel I am letting work down, but I shouldn’t feel this way. When you’re ill with a cold, for example, you’re probably worse than you think. If I had gone to work that day, I would have let my body down.
It’s so important to take care of health and wellbeing. Sometimes you need time to rest and give your body time to get yourself back to a fit state. So please, don’t be afraid to tell your employer that you’re taking a day or a few days off for an illness of any kind! Please courageous and brave in this decision.
Remember health is wealth and a healthier you can achieve far more things than a sick you.
Please look after yourselves!
Hello everyone! I was away last week and I missed World Mental Day. However, I’ve wanted to post this for a while and just to empathise we can talk about mental health anytime!Read more
Hello everyone, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! It is currently a miserable day in Oxford (what a surprise, it’s England), and I love how much these flowers just brighten up my day. I am currently recovering from my week off and preparing to start work again tomorrow (so sad about this). You know that feeling of dread when you’ve been off for a long time and you just don’t want to return to the workplace.
I spent the beginning of the week in Amsterdam and I had a fantastic time! I relaxed, explored and indulged in so many sugary delights. I would recommend going to Amsterdam and I will do a blog post about my travels later on this week!
I’ve been finding it hard to reset and get back to normalcy. I am slowly getting back into my routine and preparing for the week ahead.
Does anybody have any tips on how you can get back into a routine after a holiday?
I am hoping to post a bit more this month and finally do my about me page. I really enjoy blogging thus far and I am grateful for anyone who has spent time to read my posts!
Anyway, hope everyone has a lovely week ahead and I will see you in my next post!
