3 Ways To Make Working Out Easier

Let’s talk about exercise. You know you have to do it and you know how good it is for your overall health, but why is it hard to do it? Why does the thought of getting up in the morning to go to the gym make you feel overwhelmed? Why can you easily skip exercise, but can always watch that TV show on time every week?

The simple reason is you’re not enthusiastic about it. It makes perfect sense for you to be enthusiastic to watch a TV on time every day or every week because it excites you rather than going to that exercise class at the gym. This is something I’ve struggled with in the past and trust me, I understand how frustrating it can be. However, I’ve found ways to get past these issues and I would like to share them with you today. Here are 3 ways to make working out easier!

1) Do Something You Actually Like
The easiest way to get over this is to find something that will get you out of bed in the morning. That thing that makes you feel elated to do. I don’t mean what you’re told you have to do like going to the gym. The gym isn’t for everyone and is no means the only way of getting fit. There are so many classes out there, sports clubs, and even workouts which don’t require you to pay anything. Calisthenics, Cross Fit, Yoga to name a few, and let’s not forget the amazing resource YouTube which has so many videos of workouts. It may be quite intimidating at first but once you find what you like, working out will feel like a breeze. This doesn’t mean it will be easy especially at the beginning and if you have a certain goal. However, it will be a lot more enjoyable!

2) Workout With Someone
Having someone working out with you will make sure you stay accountable, and this can be so powerful to keep you on track. I remember when I used to go to the gym at 6 am before work a few times a week. Do you know why I managed to do this? I went with my friends which made me stay accountable. If I didn’t go to the gym not only would I be letting myself down, but also my friends. Having somebody there can help you stay on target to achieve your goals and can keep you motivated.

3) Don’t Put Pressure On Yourself
If you put pressure on yourself to look a certain way by a certain time, you will make exercising so much harder. This pressure can be heightened if you compare yourself to others. Comparison to others can ruin so many amazing achievements and moments for us. Just remember each day you work out is better than any day you didn’t as you’re showing up for YOU. If you miss a workout, don’t beat yourself down too. You are only human and some days we simply don’t want to. This is perfectly fine and even the fittest people in the world struggle with this. You must accept everyday you’re doing it for you, and this is great in itself!
